WELCOME LETTER
GET TO KNOW WHY WE ARE HERE
Dear Colleagues,
There are millions of people with disabilities in Thailand and South-east Asia who have to face physical and social barriers everyday, preventing them from making the most of their lives. Millions of them then ended up relying on charity and government budget as a disabled-person.
The real problem is the barriers they face in life, as people with particular conditions or disabilities. It is these barriers that disable them and it is society, designed and run by non-disabled people, that puts those barriers up. It can take a while to grasp this idea but once you do, it is liberating.
“100,000” is the number of children with movement disabilities in Thailand, and the astounding number of these children in South-east Asia is “10,000,000”, they still get the least attention, but by understanding and learning the right support process, we can change this. At Zy Movement Foundation (ZMF), we want to improve the quality of life for children with movement disabilities that will allow them to live independently and to enjoy peace and prosperity like everyone else as set in the Sustainable Development Goals (17 SDGs).
In order to better understand what our foundation strives to achieve, we have prepared for you this detailed information on why Zy Movement Foundation was founded, our objectives, approaches, milestones and how you may participate.
With your help and generosity, we can make an impact by raising awareness, bridging the knowledge gap and bettering the publics’ understanding of locomotive disabilities thereby creating an inclusive society for everyone.
If you have any questions or would like to find out more information, please feel free to contact us at zmf.asia@gmail.com or Facebook : Zy Movement Foundation
We look forward to working with you.
Kind regards,
Walter Lee
Founder & President
Zy Movement Foundation
